Young's Country Cottage is a locally owned gift shop in Elwood, Indiana, specializing in gifts, candles and home decor. Opened in October 2002 by sisters Carrie and Loretta Young, Young’s Country Cottage should be on everyone’s list for the holidays, birthdays, special occasions or just a special treat for you. Young’s Country Cottage puts a little magic in every season.Young’s Country Cottage is located at 7408 W State Road 28 (Near the corner of 28 and 37, just west of McDonald's) in Elwood, Indiana.

After spending a year and a half in a small blue cottage, the business demanded more room and in June of 2004 they relocated to a larger space in uptown Elwood, Indiana and then to a larger space with more convenient parking on the east side of Elwood in November of 2009.. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, 12 noon to 5 p.m.
In their current new location near the intersection of State Roads 28 and 37, they carry a large selection of dolls, some handmade by Carrie, assorted candles, electric candles & bulbs, tarts and tart warmers, Americana items, wreaths, favorites like Warm Glow Candles, Swan Creek Soy Candles and McCall’s Country Candles. They also carry a selection of braided rugs, treenware (Treenware is kitchen and other household implements made from wood.), pottery, primitives, country curtains and valances framed prints, The Country House Collection and much more. New and different items arrive regularly and the girls are vigilant in their pursuit of home accents that will add the perfect look to a shelf, wall and room.
Be sure to take advantage of their Frequent Buyer Program. Receive a FBP card on your first visit and then it will be punched for every $2.00 you spend and when the card is filled you will get $10.00 off your next purchase of $10.00 or more.
